Our products conform to EN ISO 20345:2004, which applies to safety boots with toe cap resistance to 200 joules. Below are the categories of EN marking on safety boots. One of these markings will be shown on each of Portwest’s safety footwear products. EN 20345-1 SB

The presence of a safety toe cap providing protection against impact injury to the toes caused by falling objects. Level of protection provided is 200 joules. Prevention of compression injury to the toes if trapped under a heavy object. Level of this protection is 15kN EN 20345-1 SB P As SB standard plus closed seat region and penetration resistance EN 20345-1 S1 As SB standard plus closed seat region. Anti-static properties and energy absorption of seat region EN 20345-1 S1P As S1 standard plus penetration resistance EN 20345-1 S2 As S1 standard plus water penetration resistance and water absorption EN 20345-1 S3 As S2 standard plus cleated outsole and penetration resistance
